Gum Disease

GINGIVITIS
Gingivitis are the early signs of gum disease. It is a milder form that causes irritation, redness and swelling (inflammation) of your gingiva (the part of your gum around the base of your teeth). This is quite common but if left untreated can progress into periodontitis which is more severe.
These are some symptoms of Gingivitis:
- Swollen and rounded gums
- Bleeding when brushing
- Gums feel tender to touch
- Bad breath.
PERIODONTITIS
Periodontitis is an infection that occurs underneath the gum. If left untreated, the infection starts forming rocks that stick to your teeth and release toxins that eat away at the bone. The long term effects of this is bone and tooth loss. Periodontitis is common but fairly preventable. Regular cleaning and treatment can remove the gum disease and help prevent it from coming back.

These are some symptoms of Periodonitis:
01
Loose teeth
02
Pain when you chew or bite
03
Gums that pull away from your teeth (recede), making your teeth look longer than normal
04
Sensitivity
05
Bad Breath.
