How often do I need to visit the Dentist?

Generally, you should visit us at least every 6 months for your routine check up and clean to stay on top of your oral health and any issues that may arise. As everyone’s dental needs are different, you may be required to come sooner for further treatments.

What happens if I haven't been to the Dentist in years?

You will always be accepted and welcomed back to us! No matter how long it has been, you will always get an opportunity to improve your oral health, and with our help we can get it back on track!

When should I bring my child to the Dentist?

We see children as young as 2 years old to check their baby teeth. Generally, at this age we can only perform an exam but it is good practice to bring them in to get them accustomed to coming to the dentist. Bringing children with their older siblings is always great encouragement to show that the dentist is a safe and happy place. From our experiences, we find that we are able to perform a full check up and clean on children from 3 years old and above.

Do you accept all Health Funds? And how much will my Health Fund cover?

We accept all health funds! We have a HICAPS terminal which means we can do on-the-spot claims straight away!

All health insurance policies are different and coverage for dental services can vary, so we recommend that you speak with your health insurance provider for specific details relating to your policy. We can process quotes through our HICAPS terminal for specific treatment plans, however, your insurance provider will be able to answer specific questions about your policy entitlements.

What Government Vouchers do you accept?

Department of Veteran Affairs

We accept payment with your Department of Veterans Affairs gold healthcare card. If you are eligible for the DVA healthcare card please let us know at the beginning of your appointment and ensure you bring your health card with you.

Medicare Child Dental Benefit Scheme

We accept Medicare CDBS bulk billing for children aged 2-17 years who are eligible for the scheme. Please bring your child’s medicare card to their first appointment.

Do you offer payment plans?

At Ultra Dental, we are understanding and compassionate to everybody’s financial needs and circumstances. Our friendly clinicians are happy to arrange a personalised payment plan to ensure you get the dental treatment you need.

Do you have parking available on site?

We have ample parking available around the clinic. We are located on the corner of Rocky Point Road and Bonney Street in Sans Souci with both streets available to park your car. There is also a carpark available in the Supabarn shopping centre across the road.

Is you Dental Clinic disability friendly?

Our dental clinic is in a very accessible location. We have disability ramps leading all the way up to our front door. We have designed our interiors to allow for each clinical room to have a turning circle for a wheelchair. There are also disability friendly bathrooms available onsite.

I am an anxious patient, what care can you provide for me?

Our team at Ultra Dental are trained to attend to your comfort and needs especially if you are an anxious patient. While this is a common feeling towards dentists, we aim to provide exceptional care by working at your pace and taking everything slow. We will not undertake any treatment that you are not ready for.
